I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland HEMI 4x4.

Recently, I've been noticing a knocking / creaking noise after accelerating from a complete stop. The sound is originating from the back of the Jeep. Hit gas, hear knock knock knock sound, etc

It sounds EXACTLY like when I raise or lower the Jeep via the air suspension system. You hear some knocking / creaking noises temporarily while the Jeep is going up or down.

It almost sounds like shitty springs etc. I expect the noise when the Jeep is going up or down, but not when I hit the gas from a stop.

Right now it's just annoying but I'm wondering if it is indicative of needing service? Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this normal (I don't recall hearing it until recently)?

F it, I scheduled a service appointment for Friday

I got a safety recall for the headlights anyway that they need to flash the computer for, so I'll knock out both issues.

Same drive train with OR-II.
I don't hear any such sounds when playing with ride height or the vehicle doing it automagically such as raising from aero at stoplights where it it totally silent and you only notice it by watching the hood sightline.

And definitely no such noises from a dead stop, including rather vigorous takeoff from a dead stop.

I wouldn't claim both noises are related, but fixing whats busted is a good place to start.

Thanks for the info! I had just assumed since the ride height was adjusting there would be some noises. Awesome that's not the case. I'll see what they say on Friday.
