I recently purchased a 2016 Jeep Compass. The vehicle has been in the shop 6 times this far for an undiagnosed rear squeak. We’ve replaced the brakes, struts, bushings, and now just removed the door panels, but the squeak is relentless. The dealership has now refused to assist in repairs anymore and said to just turn up the radio. I’m now stuck with a squeaky car that has yet to even have its first oil change. The squeak is at its worst on uneven pavement at slow speeds. What else can this be? I’ve spent $$$ for repairs to just be told time and time again that while the noise has been detected at each repair visit, there is nothing left to do. I’ve had the car for four months and cannot fathom having this noise for the remainder of my ownership of the vehicle...surly there’s something to be done?!?

Hello sammytkitty,

We apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced thus far. Are you thinking you'd like to get a second opinion? Please send us a direct message if so as I'd be glad to escalate this to a Case Specialist.

Hi, Have You cheked the spare tyre ?
Hopefully the dealer has offered to crawl into the back end of the vehicle and have you drive where the noise is most likely to occur. If not, take JeepCare's advice and see if a second dealer in your area has a brain cell.
