I'm not sure if this happened recently (was in at dealer for radio swap for vehicle phone requires service message) but recently I think FOV (field of view) for rear view camera has changed. I don't recall seeing my own license plate in the camera?

Is that something that is adjustable? Is that what is should be? Can somebody check what you guys have.

I have 2014 GC.

I could always see my plate. Since Jeep only allows one view (last car had 3) they need that wide angle if the camera is going to be helpful when hooking up a trailer.

I can't see my plate but i can see the chrome edge of the bumper cover.

As long as you are not seeing my plate in your FOV, I would imagine it is OK.

Don't mind wide angle but I wish the view was tilted a little bit up so I don't see the plate and see a little bit more ahead/behind.

I have the same view that you do and can see my license plate as well, if I look hard. Yours is much more noticeable because it has an orange/yellow background. My plate is easily ignored because it has a white background. My guess is that JoeD can see his license plate too, it just has a white background line mine.

I LOVE the Park View backup camera!!! Backing up to attach the boat trailer has never been easier!!

I didn't think that there was that much of a difference between the 2013 and 2014 exteriors. You're right though, having a different lift gate would change the view....
