On checking the Jeep recall section here, I notice that my Jeep qualifies for a recall for the Final Drive Controller Module (FDCM) software to be updated. Has any one in the UK had this update done? How did they go about getting the modification?
I am the second owner of the vehicle and I am not sure if I would still qualify for the recall. Thanks.

According to Chrysler in the States, the software hasn't been programmed yet. They only tell us that its coming. A Chrysler dealer should be able to do this for you if you can't find a Jeep dealer.

Organise the update with the Jeep dealer who is about 50 miles away.

I just got the letter saying the update is available in the US.

It is an all-software update, so your WK has to get jacked into a dealer's computer and have the new bits squirted in.

I had mine done a while back after delaying it for months. Takes 30 minutes if that. Its mandatory, if anything happens and its related to the FDCM its your legal responsibility.

You will know if you qualify because you will receive a recall letter from VOSA.
