Hello,

This is my first post. I went through the forum, but could not find the answer.

I have a 2014 GC Laredo, that comes with the lowest of the low stereo . Instead of going with the limited I decided to change the stereo later on. Now, planning the swap I wonder how would I keep the basic AC controls that are changed (or visually represented) on the touch screen.

What do you guys recommend?

I would also like to hear you opinion on just changing the speakers as a start and maybe adding a subwoofer (where would you put it?) down the line. I haven't messed with auto audio for a WHILE so your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

You would be looking at aftermarket radios I take it it. You can't upgrade to RA3/RA4.

Yes sir, definitely after-market! Are there any receivers that keep this functionality, or at least a module I can add so I can now what temperature and vent mode is my AC on?

The 2014+ GC has a whole new electrical architecture and centre console. There aren't going to be installation kits or radio replacement interfaces for probably 8-12 months. Sorry to pop your bubble.

I'll guess I'll have to keep waiting. But just to be sure, is it likely that they will come up with a module for the AC controls? or will I end up just loosing that capability?

Then, can some of you gurus confirm:

-Do you think a double DIN will fit in this vehicle?
-Can someone confirm front and back speaker sizes (base laredo model, so 6 holes total, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters up front)?
-Finally, do you guys think that replacing the speakers at this point would help audio quality at all?

I am planning on adding a subwoofer, but this is planned for a year from now or so.
