Has anyone experienced an interior light that will not turn off?
My wife's 2014 on the overhead console will not turn off the front most light
by pressing the light housing the rear light in that lens will turn off but the front will not and it is only this light that will not turn off where all of the other interior lights will. She just drove it to work and the light has still not turned off.
I assume this will shut off with the battery saver feature but it is annoying.

To protect the battery, the interior lights will turn off automatically 10 minutes after the ignition switch is moved to the LOCK position. This will occur if the interior lights were switched on manually or are on because a door is open.

Do you have a push-switch up there? If so, give that a try.

Yes but the push switch only controls the rear bulb in the 2 bulb housing
the front bulb does not operate by pushing the lens I am assuming the BCM controls the front bulb and it's only the right side is staying illuminated.

That light is controlled by map light button on the overhead console.

The front map/reading lights are mounted in the overhead
console.
Each light can be turned on by pressing a switch on either
side of the console. These buttons are backlit for night
time visibility. To turn the lights off, press the switch....

Yep, that would be the switch. This topic comes up every now and again.

Thanks that was it. I never drive the vehicle and my wife came and got me this morning before I was fully awake. When she came home I found the switch and turned it off. She is boggled how it came on because she did not push the switch or even know it was there . Total user error

Thanks to all who post in this forum. My drivers side map light would not go off on my 2017 Grand Cherokee. Don't know how I pressed the button - since the map light switches are on both sides of the rear tailgate door switch, I probably pressed it in error. Thanks for the tip and for sharing! Be well.

Don't feel bad. I had the same thing happen thinking what's up with this light? Why won't it go off. Yep the push button switch which is activated when you push on the light was on. I took it to the dealer. What a duh moment for an engineer.
So I am sure many of us have had this happen but will not admit it....

It took me a while to figure out how to turn that light off, too.
