My wife really likes the look of those roof baskets you see around. I have not found one that is specific for the WK2's. Has anyone found one that they really like and fits our trucks?

Either one of these two will fit. I have mopar cross bars but others use Thule or Yakima. Just do a quick search on the forum and you will find plenty of threads addressing this subject.

yea, I look at RRO for the rack and cross bars. Kinda expensive, but ok with that.
I have a carrier, She wants the basket looking thing.

I went with the yakima loadwarrior to hold my oversized spare. I looked at RRO's rack but more than I wanted to spend.

I have a rola on my GC i like the rugged style and it is one of the less expensive options. mounts easily on any cross bars i have oem. I'd recommend it any day!

I've got the Kuat Vagabond. I like it because it hassle lower profile than the Yakima and Thule versions. And on top of that with the built in skewer mounts for two bikes it adds some additional functionality. I went camping recently with friends, had two mt bikes and cargo on top and two bikes on the hitch mount. Worked out great.

Well I went with the RRO Rails and cross bars. I also ordered the Rola rack.
So, last thing I need is the tires and the re-work is almost ready to get started

I have a surco rack that I used on my ZJ. I love the way it looks and works. I contacted Surco if they have mounting adaptors/hardware that will work on the WK2 and they said nope. Too bad... I really like the way it looks and works. I am thinking of making my own brackets that will make it work on my WK2.

I like the Rocky Road rack as well... if I didnt have the Surco rack, I would have gone with that.

I'm also looking for one for my girlfriend. Anyone else have baskets now? Do you have to get the cross bars to mount it one or can they mount to the factory rails? My truck has q towers on it but I want to keep hers looking clean and not have a basket sticking out a foot above her jeep haha. I know that a company makes some for the LR3 rovers that mount pretty clean but I cannot recall what they're called

RRO and garvin are some of your cleaner looking baskets. Also some of the pricier choices. I doubt you'll find anything that hugs the roofline super tight since they want to allow room for sunroof operation.
Front Runner Outfitters makes some quality racks too, but currently, none for the WK2. They are big in the Wrangler world, however.
