so there is a problem with vipers and ford lightings? There are many rules dictating how a car is built, to my knowledge there are none that would downright prevent it from happening.
let me post-preface that with dont get me wrong I dont know everyting
i am fairly certain that jeep will try to either a side exit or split rear. i think a tow hitch will be an option on the 2012 srt8. even though they don't produce them anymore, people who bought trailblazer ss' said that was one of deciding factors for them.
i'm hoping that they do put a hitch on there, wouldn't mind being able to pull some s*** around. got a real nice ny giants hitch cover when not in use lol
I Think side exhausts would look good, but i still love the center exit....and IMO, i hope it doesnt come standard with a hitch....the tbss is comparable to the 5.7 jeep, so it should have a hitch, but not an SRT8
On an up note the 392's seem to be seriously under rated judging from the Challengers dyno numbers. The 392 seems to be pushing closer to 510 HP at the crank.
Perhaps they could have 4 tips like a Mercedes AMG, or trapezoidal tips similar to a Lexus ISF. They coud go for 5" tips on either side. As Marlin said, I don't think side exhausts are in keeping with a current model!
Thanks for the information, but didn't we know this already? Checkout the spy photos from June... the 2012 Grand Cherokee SRT8 test mule appears to include a hitch with no center exhaust:
Side exit exhausts won't get passed in Euro or Australian design laws, Viper had the same issues.
Would be short sighted of them to release it that way and then have to find an alternate solution for export markets. IMO of course
Do you mean side as in under/in the rocker or behind the rear wheels, but going out the side? If it is the first....that is going to be bada$$...straight viper style! Would you consider this source reliable on this?
While I like the look of the centered exhaust on my SRT, I would give it up to have a spare tire, trailer hitch, and a clear rear window in the cold. I notice that the exhaust seems to flow up the back of the car when driving in the cold, fogging up the glass. The center exhaust is also good for burning your leg when getting stuff out of the rear hatch.
Not sure what to think of that....buuuuuuut the one's that I now have a few cars and yes one is a pearl white cadi but who doesn't like that pearl white that cadi has. He also had a bad ass black turbo supra
It was just an observation. I personally feel its a tacky color. Generally two types of people like it arizona/florida retirees, and flashy wannabeaballa types.
I do hope they have better paint choices.... I don't really like what is offered in the WK2 now but that might be because its plagued with cheap plastic chrome crap everywhere.
