Shop around your looking at the best selling suv no need to buy one you don’t feel great about.

if it was a steal of a deal….
I would use a rust converter chemical spray on it. This will inert the rust chemically.
then I’d spray it down with a wax based oil penetrating rust proofing solution.

It is hard to tell from the photos just how bad it is.

Bring a plastic tab removal tool, and peel back the wheel liners. Have a look what’s going on in there.
I wish I had done that on my Duramax… she was sold after I seen what I was up against….

A lot of times rust can be superficial. Look under a diesel truck with 300,000 miles… they look terrible but then they run for another 300,000.

if it were my money, I would spend a bit more to get a clean one and then I would take the steps to keep it clean.
