Yesterday I saw either a 11 or 12 at the grocery store with rust coming through all along the bottom of the passenger door.
Just wondering if anyone else has seen this or, any other possible design flaws causing rust since the 2011 redesign of the grand cherokee ?

I have a 11 with no signs .

Usually for me when rust starts here in Minnesota I have to get rid of it ....

My GC made it through two salted road Winters and so far no rust.
But then again i wasn't looking for it very hard.

Out of all the vehicles i owned in the past, the two rust buckets that stick out are my '57 Plymouth and my '70 something hand me down Datsun B210 work beater.
Just about lost the spare tire from a rusted out trunk in the Plymouth not to mention the front seat giving way dropping to the road.
The Datsun's frame was so rusted the dam thing bent in half when crossing some rough RR tracks.

Ahh those old memories put on a smile these days.......... but hopefully never to be repeated again.

Rust is not something that's normal or common for this generation of the JGC...or most late model vehicles for that matter. Can it happen? Yes.
