Did my first "mod" today. Installed Helicopter tape on my door sills. After having it for 2 days, i already noticed scratches on the painted edge of the sill.

Applied helicopter tape with the wet method...soap and water, slide around to get into place then squeegee water out. Just like a clear bra installation.

not the greatest pic, but that's the point...its hard to see. you wouldn't notice them if you weren't looking very close. The tape is applied to the whole flat spot below the molding over the edge, and stops about a half inch from the plastic rocker panels. you can see the edge on the right of the picture

Is that blade tape you used? Hopefully it doesn't yellow on you. Are you worried at all about it pulling the paint off if you need to remove the tape? That stuff is some pretty strong tape, if it's blade tape.

Yes, blade tape. No, not worried about yellowing...no UV rays will hit it. No, not worried about taking it off if I need to. Slow removal with a heat gun will protect the paint.
