For anyone with the 8.4N radio. When you are playing music from the SD or USB card, and you hit the shuffle button, does it remain on shuffle when you turn the car off and back on? I had a 2010 JGC, and shuffle would remain on. I have to hit the shuffle button each time I enter the car with the 8.4N. Just seeing if this is normal behavior, or if I am doing something wrong.

Thanks.

Just tried it. Works fine on 8.4AN with 13.28 Firmware. 13.31 should be available soon. Don't know if firmware matters regarding your problem though.

Shuffle was another feature that gave me fits until I set it with a voice command instead of through the evic. It has stayed set for months.

It must be my commanding voice. :)

I wish I could get you to set my shuffle through voice commands...hehe I tried using the voice command for it, and still no luck. I still have to do it every time I start my Jeep. Hopefully the next firmware update will fix this problem.

Hmmm, I started a thread a while back about stopping the shuffle on BlueTooth from my phone. I hit shuffle once and now it's always on shuffle on Bluetooth (even after engine shutdown -it's not listed as "shuffle" on my phone either). I'm too scared to try it on my SD card.

When you select "shuffle" on the top right of the screen does it highlight that? And then how do you stop the shuffle, I would imagine selecting it again? And does it indicate un-"shuffle"?

Are you sure you are not shuffling within a category?

100% - no, but I'm fairly confident that I'm not. I've got nearly 5000 songs loaded and I get a good representation of everything. I realize that shuffle could play an entire album in order but also know that this would be statistically improbable. My issue is that it's played at least half a dozen tracks 3+ times already or it plays multiple tracks from the same album consecutively. In the couple weeks I've had the vehicle this seems very unlikely with a proper shuffle and the number of available tracks. Not a gig deal, but still off (at least to me).
