Well, after I got screwed by horsepower freaks im thinking about going a new avenue.

I'm looking at the eibach SRT8 drop with modded bumpstops.

I'm going to replace the shocks with KYB shocks in front and rear. Has anybody used these shocks?? I'm assuming that they're the same length as an OEM. I'm not in the market to drop 700$ ATM on shocks.

The truck is just for crusing and looking good. Not racing or anything like that. So any input would be greatly appricated!! Thanks

If you're going to drop it on SRT springs I would only suggest using the shorter SRT Bilsteins. Otherwise, you'll just end up wearing them out prematurely. Also, remember the OEM shocks add 1/4" back to the ride height.

What size tires are you running? From the angle of the photo in your signature your tires look huge.

255's, i needed that though. I may just do the h&r's and cut the rear spring a little. I'm looking for a level look.

yeah... im going to try the h&r's with a bilstein srt8 rear only. possible one coil cut on the rear H&r's also. I should of just went with coilovers.... Oh well, i'm sure it'll look good still!

you cant cut the rears, they are coiled tighter on the top & bottom for mounting. you can cut the fronts though. I just cut 1/2 coil off my wk eibachs for an added 5/8" drop :w00t:

Yeah, I saw that when I installed my springs. Its ok.. The H&R's went lower than I expected. I may throw some SRT8 oem shocks on the rear when the time is ready.

Give us some measurements! Ground to the fender, through the center of the wheel.

Aren't you running 255/50 r20? Better measure from center of the wheel to the fender too...

yeah, factory rake is maintained. I want to go lower in the rear may try a 1.3 srt8 drop. going to call bwoodys today.. does anyone have hub to fender measurements for a 1.3 drop or a 1.7 drop in the rear? want to see how it measures up with the h&r's in the front.

From the angle of your photo it already looks slammed with those 50 series tires. I can't imagine it being any lower without any rubbing issues. I say paint the front valance and side skirts and call it a day.

What are your measurements? It's looking good, I never thought I'd love the machined vipers so much.

I copied this from another thread I was posting in. The bwoodies in these quotes are the 1.3 drop in the rear.

The package came marked as bwoody/roadmagnet and came with the upgraded bumpstops for the rear. I have an email into mhp to see which version these are and the advertised drop.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey man in your quote whats the difference between jasonjsl and ESCAPE just the srt8 bilsteins?? It looks like ESCAPE got another 1\4 by going with the bilsteins. I know that springs can vary but when i lifted my old jeep up with monroe LLR's (F-150) it boosted it a good 1.5-1.0. Would installing shorter srt8 bilsteins give me a slighter drop in the rear?

THey both used srt8 bilsteins, but jasonsl was a 4x2 and ESCAPE has a 4x4. The 4x4 has extra weight over the front end. The 4x2 seems to sit 1/2" higher up front. After reading many similar posts and my own experience, I have concluded that 1/4" variation between individual jeeps is normal, to account for wear and tear and other unexplained variances.

Take the listed drops from the manufactures with a grain of salt because they are based on a relatively new vehicle. The more accurate measurement is final hub to fender distance, but that would just confuse people buying coils. Anyways, No one has posted numbers for H&R yet, so your numbers are the first. I should make a data base...

What shocks are you running right now? Stock? This jeep is a 4x4, right?

4x4 qdII, oem shocks.

I'm unsure about the srt8 shocks. My 06 had 158k on the rear shocks and sat lower than my 07 at oem height. (see pic) My 07 only has 40k. I'm assuming they were all done of course..

The srt8 shock is def shorter than the oem, but the oem is not right for a drop anyways. Wonder if i'll get any lower in the rear..

What about the stage 6 QA1 shocks? I can't seem to find there anywhere on their website..

I don't believe that srt8 shocks/struts will go lower than OEM regular ones. But Eventually they (OEM) will leak. Plan on getting new shocks eventually. the srt8 shocks do ride nice. The QA1's won't go lower either, but they are adjustable...
