Just had my main and auxiliary batteries replaced on my 2017 JGC Overland. The start/stop message is still there and I was told by the advisor that it could take a couple of on/off cycles for the start/stop to learn and program itself.
Exactly ... which makes me think it's a problem in the charging system somewhere, rather than in the battery itself. Unless they got a bad run of batteries that included both my original and the replacement.
A couple of days after I had both batteries replaced, start/stop working great and then......at the 3rd stop it would not start. All lights flashing on dash and then everything went black. Had to have jeep towed to the dealership. Diagnosis found a faulty cable going to the alternator. Either this was damaged when the batteries were replaced or defective from No wonder the battery was always charging. Hopefully this fixes the issue.

SmartStopStart is a popular and easy to install Engine Stop Start (ESS) memory module that always restores your last setting for the ESS override button.
I’ve been hearing a hesitation to turn over when I start my Jeep and it was suggested that I get the battery replaced as it is a 2014 with the original battery. Took it to WalMart bc their price was awesome, but after an Hour of working on it, they said they can’t secure the new battery bc of...

Im curious for those who have a Laredo 4x4 or know about them. Are they actually 4x4 or AWD? I noticed this trim level does not have a transfer case switch like the other trim levels do.
I searched for a similar thread and wasn't able to find anything. I thought this might be a pretty interesting idea!
What did i do my jeep-- Plastidipped emblems. more to come...

With all the games that some dealerships play I would like to know what others are paying and advice on purchasing a new Grand Cherokee.
Currently I'm looking at the GC Overland with safety and HK(MSRP 49,275).
Best price I've been offered so far is 42,500 in ivory. Wife of course wants white...
