2014 v6 has electrically assisted steering. Your 11 had hydraulic. That is probably the source of the difference in steering feel you are noticing.

I thought the only difference was that they use an electric motor to drive the hydraulic pump, instead of running a belt to a pulley on the motor. The steering is still a hydraulic assisted rack and opinion.

If that is wrong, could somebody explain how the steering works?
