This popped up on my dash yesterday. I also have a issue where when I try to get up to speed the vehicle has a hard time getting to 70. When I am on cruise control and going up an incline there is hesitation and a hard time to maintain the speed.

Could this be also related to the Start Stop Service.

I have brought this up to the dealer and they won't say anything until they have it in the shop which isn't until next week.

I am just wondering if the Start/Stop puts the engine in a safe mode now because it runs really rough now.

I have a 2016 with about 55,000 miles. What was the cause? Mine just did this to me this morning.

My start/stop was unavailable for 2 years. It ran perfectly fine so only took it in right before the warranty ran out (Nov '19). Both batteries were replaced under warranty. it is not my daily driver, so I don't think it was designed well to get itself charged quick enough when it has sat for a while. I don't anticipate these new batteries lasting long. but its really not a huge loss
