I'm being told by the dealership that the reason why my throttle light stays on is that it either a bad pedal or the throttle body or both are bad. Is this true coming from the dealership or they are trying to get me to pay more for a part that is not needed? My truck was moving when I dropped it off but now they can't get any power from my pedal. Did they do something and want me to pay for their mistake?

Is yours a wk2? or a wk1? Are you under warranty, because that should take care of it, don't give them a penny.

What do you mean "throttle went bad"?
And what's a throttle light?

The throttel light is the red lightening looking sign on the evic. The part was replaced.

Yes.....the only fix was a new tb

Just happened to me today. Lightning bolt and traction control light on. Was going 60 and mashed it. Went nowhere. Very scary. So I am assuming a new tb? I sent mint to fastman and ever since it has had problems. He said he wouldn't fix it. I would have to pay for the mechanics. I think he screwed it up when he bored it out to 87mm. So where can I buy a new 87mm tb? For my 2012?
