I'm needing to get new tires on my 07 limited. Looking to get some M/T's. I have 245/65/17 and looking to go larger, even 18's if I could. What size tires can I put on stock 17's or what mods to fit 255/70/18 hoping only a level kit in front if I take the 2nd choice?? If only a level kit I was thinking 2 or 2 1/2".

Im not sure what size. If you try the following link it will tell you how much room you need for clearance. This of course would be at the stock height as it doesn't factor that in. Also if you go to an after market wheel you can plug in the size and Et of the wheel. Hope this helps.

I found out that the BFG All Terrain T255 65R17 are much more available and work just fine. Look great and have better footprint. 2007 Grand Cherokee CRD Diesel OM642

I have a 2008 JGC CRD and put the SRT8 wheels on and have found that the front with a 265/50R20 fit without rubbing. They are a 30.47 inch diameter. Image is with it turned and is just missing the inner fender.
