Kumho makes good tires from my experience...but I have only purchased the performance tires
I want them for the speed rating.
Yes I am keeping it for 6 more months.
And when I trade in the truck, I'll put the old ones back on and sell these to you guys for a smoking deal!

on my xj, i went to tirerack, got the price, printed it out, went to discount tire, they gave me a better deal all mounted and balanced.
take a ride to Huntington, go see CUZ Jimmy at All Weather Tires they make good deals for cash!

the place i am talking about has been there for ~40 years. Its a family business. one of the guys I know from Huntuington Station. I used to work there at Rosa Cycles down on NY Avenue. Jimmy I forget their last names. they have like 10 bays plus another 10 guys in the driveway doing tires. i dont care when, day or night, if they are open, you have 4 tires in like 15 minutes NO BS. and they always negotiate for cash.

I got tires for my GF IS250 in Huntington. Everywhere was quoting me $289-$320. A tire. I got them there for $239. A tire mount and bal. And they were the only ones who had them in stock. I forgot the name of the place but it was like right in the middle of the road and they had 2 buildings. I'll find out the name tomorrow.
Go to tire rack and compare those tires vs any other tire vs the stock Fortera HL. The fortera HL is prolly the last tire on the list to choose. Sucks in snow and tread wear compared to the other tires. Damn i hate good years. I hate mine now.
Joe, I buy tires not only for performance reasons but for looks, those seem to have the performance down but they look like crap imho, i like fancy treads and good ratings. LOL
But its only for 6 months so if those fit the budget and give you what you want get em.
I like pirelli tires too, did you look at them at all?

Yeah I know that they arent the prettiest thing but they get the job done and they are the right price for me.

Depending on how much tread is left on your Forteras, and looking at my treadwear, at 20k with them 50% worn down (my sister's Forteras are the same way), you MIGHT want to consider leaving them on there unless you want to get hit with excess wear and tear charges, you're already going to get hit with excess mileage.
I don't ever want another set of these...ever.

They're a little bit slick in the rain. But last forever. She's looking to get about 60k out of them.

Thanks Marlon. I think but I could be wrong, if I take my Forteras off now, I won't be hit up with excess wear and tear.

every 1000 miles is $200. This crap adds up real quick. I've never been charged excess wear and tear but from what I hear, it's a b*tch!!!! (worse than over-mileage charges!)

And damn thats a pretty big surcharge.
BTW- I ordered the tires. Should be here the 9th or 10th.
I don't hate mine... they're pretty good, to be honest. One of the top rated tires on the road now. The only problem is that they have horrible tread life. They're even pretty good offroad too.
