Just picked up superchip prog for my 09 4.7. Is the optional trans app for 40 bucks a worthwhile buy? I keep my jeeps for a long time will it cause any added stress on the tranny? Anybody with a 08-09 4.7 have this and what are there opinions? Thanks Kman

IMO, YOU BET! I've had it for my 06 since it came out. It is worth it's weight in gold, once you get it set up the way you want. In conjunction with the ATT App. I would also highly recommend you get the Sonnax Line Pressure Booster and install it first. It'll take a few days for it (the TCM) to learn what's going on, and will work like crap right at first. Then install the App. The booster electronically and safely raises the transmission pressure (15-30 PSI) and clamping pressure of the clutches, which limits slipping under heavy loads, and also prolongs clutch life. I've had mine installed for over 3 years now, and it still works great. Here's where I bought mine: 45RFE 545RFE Transmission Pressure Booster Sonnax 44957-LB2 45RFE 545RFE Electric Line Pressure Boost

I did my first setup in May 2010, and got it real close on the first attempt. Even today, from time to time, I still make minor tweaks to the settings, depending on what I am trying to accomplish. It's really nice because you can completely control ALL up and down shift points, as well as both light and WOT shift firmesss (torque management). The only thing you have to do is figure out how you want to set it up.
