So after some research, and some general poking around... it seems the 8 speed likes to run a lil warm... and if it's one thing that really break transmissions is heat!

But I was wondering.. Does the WK2 SRT have an transmission oil cooler? if it doesn't I'm surprise SRT didn't include one just for the WK2 giving it's size

When I get mine I wouldn't want my Trans to exceed 200 degrees under load

While it does run hot, it is really stable. I have towed 6500 lbs with mine frequently and on the highway and cruising, the temp stays no higher then 203. Even when I did some drag racing, it still stayed around 200. I haven't seen it outside of its daily operating range, and it warms up really slow. I wouldn't be too worried about the tranny temps in this one, because it seems managed very well.

The GC SRT does have an Air to Oil Transmission oil cooler as part of the front cooling module. This is the same cooler used with the A580 5-speed in 2012-2013 MY.
