I have a 2011 grand cherokee overland. I just installed a JL W6v3 with a JL XD1000/1v2 amp. To my understanding my jeep has 220 amp alternator which should be plenty to power the amp but the lights are still dimming. Ive heard that caps are a waste of money and extra batteries can make the problem worse I'm thinking that I may need to do a "big 3" upgrade but the wiring seems to already be at least 1/0awg from the factory. Any ideas on how I can stop my lights from dimming? Thanks guys!

i Have the same problem you might want to check the alternator mine was a 160 so you might want to verify that.
