The use of aluminum cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, and water pumps requires special corrosion protection. Mopar® Antifreeze/Coolant, 5 Year/100,000 Mile Formula (MS-9769), or the equivalent ethylene-glycol base coolant with organic corrosion inhibitors (called HOAT, for Hybrid Organic Additive Technology) is recommended. Now check this out I did a flush about 3 months ago changed the thermostat and the radiator uper hose to a one peice and fill the anit freeze tank. Now since I have been having an over heating problem I checked my anti freeze tank which is now empty but I don't see any dripping of anti freeze could this be the water pump or gasket falling? Or what may be happening
Did you burp the system?
I believe there is a bleed screw.
Park up and incline with the nose point up open the radiator cap and let her run. the air bubble moves to the highest point in the system.:thumbsup:
And refill the overflow tank!

If you've mixed Dexcool and regular antifreeze, you may want to consider doing a cooling system flush now.
Yes, it was specifically stated after you mentioned dexcool it is NOT dex cool... Dexcool is some of the worst coolant for gumming up cooling systems I have ever dealt with in my life... you no longer need a drain and fill, you need a good long flush to get it all out as best as you can. It is NOT dex cool.
