i read somewhere that the auto heated seat and steering wheel does not turn on if the outside temperature is above 40F.
someone may correct me if I am wrong, but it may be in the manual.
• Auto-On Driver Heated/Ventilated Seat & Steering
Wheel With Vehicle Start — If Equipped
When this feature is selected the driver’s heated seat and
heated steering wheel will automatically turn on when
temperatures are below 40° F (4.4° C). When temperatures
are above 80° F (26.7° C) the driver vented seat will
turn on. To make your selection, touch the Auto Heated
Seats soft-key, until a check-mark appears next to setting,
showing that setting has been selected. Touch the back
arrow soft-key to return to the previous menu.

That's pretty much how it works on my Overland as well. Wish it would do the same when started by the push button too, as I don't often remote start.
Maybe it's just me, but I will remote start my vehicle as I walk up to it just to get the climate system going, and not actually hit the start until I'm ready to drive off.
