Hi

In the current RACV Royal Auto magazine I noted that in an article "Jeep Ups Ante" that 'The extra two years warranty also applies to current owners of model year 2015 and 2016 cars' the Jeep website backs this up with 'And to ensure that owners of new model year 2015 and 2016 Jeep vehicles don’t miss out, for those models we’ve combined our standard 3 year manufacturer’s warranty with a 2 year extended warranty2.

The notes refers to
'1Coverage applies for 5 years from the date of vehicle registration or until the vehicle has reached 100,000kms (whichever comes first).
2The extended warranty is not transferable if the vehicle is sold to, or through, a motor dealer or trader. Extended warranty is provided by Eric Insurance Limited ABN 18 009 129 793 (AFSL238279)

The extended warranty details are under the "There and Back" heading on the website.

 Jeep

Regards

Grahame

I saw that too and read in it somewhere that for the 15 and 16 vehicles you have to pay additional (was something like $99 EDIT that's to transfer the warranty) and it's am aftermarket insurance, not am actual Jeep warranty. In other words you need to keep paying exhorbidant keep servicing fees for it to be valid. However, since the 2011 changes to consumer law it's not really required anyway.

Another noteworthy point, it does not cover damage due to overheating!
