I noticed a few drops of water dripping out of the trim, located at the A-Pillar, that is between the windshield and the front driver side door. I opened up the covers/caps on the pillar that hide the nut that attaches the trim and some water dripped out! It was a tiny amount of water, but either way, it's unacceptable.

I don't have a sunroof. I inspected everything and have not found any stains or damage from this leak. This may be something that just started, and hopefully it will be a minor repair. I also do not see any visible areas where the water could enter. I'm just worried this water can potentially damage anything from my carpet to electronics or even cause mold. I want to nip this in the bud...asap.

Any advice or idea what's going on? I just bought this WK 3 weeks ago and so far, I have had to replace the sway links/bushings/brackets and I have a 60K mile service coming up. I guess it just seems like I've had things come up with my Jeep too soon, since owning it, but I know it's minor stuff.

I had the same on my 3.0 crd , no sunroof either I checked the top corner of the wind shield and the rubber strips , I haven't seen anything also exept a bit of trapped water and moss .. I've "solved " the problem with some industrial silicone :lol: and I haven't meet the problem again
But probably there is something to be done in an other way

Had the same thing, checked the top driver side corner of my windshield and some of the seal had come out, I pushed it back as best I could and the leak stopped long enough to silicone it. The seal is half dry-rotted and Im gonna replace it in spring if my patch job lasts.

Hi, I have a 2006 GC and have pretty much the same issue. Water leaking when heavy rain hits. It's creating a puddle in the driver side floor board and I just noticed its also wet in the back row driver side passenger floor!

What's your beat recommendation on what I do first? I want to fix it myself.

Should I replace the weather stripping or silicone a particular area like the windshield or what?

Hi there,
I just purchased a used 2007 grand cherokee with no sunroof and the entire top of the A pillar is rusting. I would like to fix it myself!
The windshield does not appear compromised however I am getting leaks out of the screw top cover on the Oh shit handle bar above the drivers side.
Can I use silicone? Is this safe as a temporary repair? I live in Canada and the winters and wet and windy. If I get through the winter, I can replace it in spring!
