What are these on the Selec-Terrain knob?

The first ones are hill decent control. It is like off road cruise control for going down obstacles.
On the active lock the second one does the same thing but it is for hill climb and level surfaces. The owners manual gives a good description on how they work.

Isn't that the hill descent thingie where you can adjust speed automatically via the brakes?

With the Grand Cherokee it is controlled by the paddle shifters.Isn't that the hill descent thingie where you can adjust speed automatically via the brakes?
