I have the 20" aluminum wheels that are "painted grey metallic" in certain areas from the factory. I want to plasti dip the aluminum part to make it really stand out. If you don't know what plasti dip is....google it...it looks GREAT on wheels and comes off easily if you change your mind. I got a guy here locally that is going to do all 4 wheels for $150.

I mocked up my wheels with photoshop (not the best job) but what are your thoughts?

All opinions welcome....I am scheduled to do this tomorrow AM. (My birthday)

I like the way they came from the factory better than the plastic dip. But, that doesn't mean you should.

I think I'd leave them chrome unless you were to black out all the chrome. Another option is the black-chrome finish itself from duplicolor, i believe youtube has videos on the process

I'm not a big fan of black wheels, just my opinion. I think your wheels look great the way they came. The nice thing about plastidip is if you don't like the look, you can remove it easily. Nice looking Jeep!

I love the plastidip product.. Also, if it gets destroyed and starts to chip / fade.. Peel it off and back to stock it is!

So really, no harm in doing it.

My car will NEVER see snow...so I heard the stuff is durable if done right with 5 coats!
