He there all, I am a newer member to the forum. I recently purchased iOBD2 bluetooth for iOS use on my iPad. I was kind of bummed that there wasn't a separate category for JEEP in this software, but there is Chrysler and Dodge, so I can use the software, but not all components are available.

Is there a better iOS platform to access and do a more thorough exam of my engine diagnostic and performance-wise? I have looked online and have seen recommendations for several platform that are iOS based like REV. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

PS- The iOBD2 does let you clear the check engine light for small things like an improperly sealed gas cap, which is the problem I had, I just want to know if their is something tailored a bit more towards JEEP. I have the bluetooth adapter, just looking for software. Thanks in advance.

From reading this forum for a year I have yet to hear of anyone who has Jeep specific OBDII capability for the 14. I think we need to wait for someone to crack the CAN-BUS interface beyond the simple code look up and clearing. Meaning interrogating the modules.
Other will hopefull chime in but so far that is all I know...

Thanks for a quick response. I have the 2011 with a ape taster which Chrysler/Dodge uses in many of their vehicles, but I am hearing you. Most manufacturers and even some dealerships will recommend software but the Jeep dealers in my area are notorious for being jerks about next to everything. I bought my 2011 used instead of buying a 2014, specifically because the 2 dealerships in Rochester are always ranked dead last in customer service And helpfulness, and they decal everything and rape people on parts. The service guys are pretty nice, just work for a bad organization. I would love to get past basic error codes. No need as of yet, but I would like to do minor service myself even though I've got a service contract through the Ford dealership across the road that will service 17 different makes. I just don't want to pay a deductible each time for simple things like a bad gas cap. That's the reason I purchased iOBD2.

Again thanks for your reply.
