What did you guys accomplish with your Jeeps this weekend? I was quite surprised that it was able to pull out the lilac bush (rather tree at this point.) if the strap would have been longer I would have actually jerked on it, I was afraid of it ending up in the back window though. I do have to question why it automatically starts in 2nd gear instead of 1st gear though, I just used the paddle shifters to get into 1st.

Picked up and installed my plates and sticker. I had ordered the classic black design offered by the State of Texas. Sorry Jeep Garage you won't be seeing my full plate number online but here's what it looks like on the Jeep. Land vehicle Vehicle Car Bumper Motor vehicle

Gave it a Seafoam treatment; 16 ounces in 1/2 tank of Shell 93 octane and sprayed about 1/2 can into the throttle body while my wife held the RPMs to 2K. After letting it sit off for about 10 minutes, I drove it aggressively for about 10 minutes. Did get the expected white smoke when I floored it the first time.

I was surprised when I saw the throttle blade barely open as I sprayed the Seafoam around the blade edge. The combustion suction sucked the fluid into the intake manifold.

I can not say unfortunately. The part belongs to my buddy...
and then...

did you use a caliper painting kit? or rattle can?

I planned on using either G2 or Duplicolor's caliper kit for my calipers and rotor hats.

Sure here is a good one
If you paint it you definitely wanna put a clear wrap to protect paint!
How long did you wait before putting the clear wrap on? I think it's risky to put on after a fresh paint job. Same with Vinyl wrap. I am no expert but it would make sense.
I waited two days I have a 36mile drive to work oneway daily
Just about done and ready to install on the Jeep.
This is a 3rd brake light flasher. I'll have it blink 4 times, then stay solid. Gives the heads up that I am stopping. Been seeing a lot of rear ending going on here in Pa

Hello antsjeep,

I use a caliper painting kit. 2 components kit with hardener

I wish you success
Added the Hemi badge to the back. I might redo it though. I think I would like it better in the place of the 4X4. Wife liked it better under it and leaving the 4X4.

I bought my 2014 used and it had some rear fascia trim damage from the previous owner backing into something. Not sure how one backs into something when they have a rear backup camera *and* sensors. Oh well, things happen.

Anyway, replaced the borked chrome trim pieces with new ones sourced via moparonlineparts.

Forgot to take pictures of the actual installation... but, the rear step chrome trim was pretty easy. Pry up the black step plastic and you can see where the plastic tabs are that need to be pushed inward to release. worked my way from one edge to the other. That releases the rear edge of the black step, now there are about 4 tabs on the chrome trim that need fiddling with and the chrome step trim will slide right out.

The chrome trim on the bottom of the rear fascia is secured with a screw near the edge by the tow hitch. Easier to access with the tow hitch cover removed first. I wasn't able to remove the old trim in one piece, I simply pry it out, from tow cover edge toward the other edge. The new one then snapped right into place.

Overall, was able to replace everything without having to take the entire rear fascia off.

I changed out the air in my tires. You wouldn't believe how foul smelling that stuff was, after being in there for almost 2 years!
Also changed my blinker fluid.
Too bad that coupon is from 2014. A lot a folks around here must be low on fluid as many people change lanes... without blinkers. Originally I thought they were idiots, now I know that it is a vehicle maintenance issue!

It sure is, your fire trucks and emergency personnel also have this equipped for this exact reason!
As per request I made a video.

This will help those who wanna gain knowledge, of how to access the wiring of the 3rd brake light as well as how to wire up the unit!
