I know that his topic has been beaten to death, but here's another thread because I can't find the answer I'm looking for...

Basically I'm looking for a simple 5 spoke wheel in black or gray with a backspacing around +30 (I don't want to trim the bolt and would prefer not to run spacers if I can find the right wheel). Looking to go up a few tire size but nothing crazy as it's my daily.

Now some more background. I have an ome hd lift but am still running stock wheels and tires (245/65/17 on 17"x7.5" sextants). I want to add some larger tires and in doing so could go with some other wheels. What I'm looking to end up with is a beefier tire and black or gunmetal wheels to go with my black grand cherokee.

I'm looking at Nitto Terra Grapplers and 17" or 18" wheels. I also have a set of 1.5" spidertrax wheel spacers that I have yet to install (but really only plan on using them if I can't get something to work without them).

Looking for tire and wheel size suggestions. Will a WK2 wheel fit on the WK? Would I need to run the spacers?

Any thoughts/comments/suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm in the northern va area so if anyone wants to let me test fit a wheel/tire combo that'd be gear too.

Did some more research and am working on answering my own questions. I'm thinking of getting a set of black Mamaba MR1Xs. The 4.75" backspacing will allow me to run bigger tires without having to use any spacers (the Spidertrax spacers that I bought but never used are up for sale).

Now time for tires, trying to decide between the following:
Tire size +diameter increase from stock 245/65/17
255/70/17 +1.5"
265/70/17 +2.0" (possibly the largest tire that will fit in the stock spare wheel location with factory hitch)
255/75/17 +2.5"
265/75/17 +3.0"

I'm looking at:
Michelin LTX MS2
Cooper Discoverer AT3
Michelin LTX AT2
Hankook Dynapro ATM
Kumho Road Venture AT KL78
Kumho Road Venture SAT KL61

A lot more work to do...

After a good amount of research, I think I've narrowed down my search to the following:

Size: 265/70/17

All 3 are standard load rating, passenger tires.
Cooper Discoverer AT3 (SL)
$134
+8lbs more than curreent GY Forteras 245/65/17
55k tread warranty
Max load: [email protected]

Hankook Dynapro ATM (SL)
$145
+6lbs more than curreent GY Forteras 245/65/17
50k tread warranty
Max load: [email protected]

Nitto Terra Grapplers (SL)
$146
+9lbs more than curreent GY Forteras 245/65/17
0 tread warranty
Max load: [email protected]

Is anyone running the LT tires on their WK?

FWIW, I am using Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 265-70-17 on my 05 GC Ltd , best tire on snow and ice I have ever used on any vehicle. They are listed on Discount Tire Direct for 246.00 , a little pricier than the ones you listed, but a really good tire.

Yeah i was looking at the duratrac and that's a great tire but I need something a little more street than that as most of my driving is on pavement with the occasional 4x4/construction site trip. Otherwise, I'd put the duratracs on tomorrow.
