I was just on Jeep's site, building a GC for my wife. I was surprised to see that the Advanced Tech. Pkg. that was $1,795.00 last week is now $1,995.00, and the 20" wheel package which was $1,195.00, is now $1,295.00.

They periodically raise prices on certain items in certain models. They raised the V8 price a while back. I think they even raised the price of the CD player.

some of the stuff they raised the price twice

CD player - $195 to $295 to $395

V8 - $2695 to $3195 to $3695

I think Bill is right, jack the price up $1400 and then put out a $1500 cash back blow out sale

Unless you live in a very urban area, the 20" wheels would seem about as undesirable as the CD player--that takes up all of the console space.
Personally the 20" wheels just look right on the Grand Cherokee. They got around surprisingly well in the Nebraska winters on my 2011 and they are the same wheels on my 2014 so I am expecting the same performance. That being said, it was an option that was already added to the vehicle I picked up. I wasn't necessarily looking for it again this time around.

^ +1

The 20" wheels look SO much better on the GC than the 18" wheels, the shorter profile tires makes them handle better on paved roads as well. Good to know about the 20" wheels Winter performace...the aggressivess of the tires tread pattern didn't look that much different than what the 18" tires had, so I'd expect them to handle about the same on the street in snow.

I ordered the Cd player - waste - agree - there dis little console space to begin with and the clunky cd takes up more than 50% of it. SD is the way to go - rip and load - much faster also over spinning disk.
