How come you don't go with HIDs?
Hi,

1. Can you give me a brand name?

2. What are Xenon Halogen Lights?

3. Do I buy Low Beam or High Beam?

4. What are blue coated halogens by the way? (Nighthawk Sport?)

5. What about LED's, HIR's or Halogen's?

5. Can I buy them on Rockauto is there a better place?

I don't know squat about lights. I want something that looks blue, but not too too bright as too blind people.

I read this:

The higher the temperature rating in kelvin the more intense the tinge in the light. So as a little guide:
For a definite blue you want an 8000 to 12000k
For a white you want 5000 to 8000k

A 12000k bulb is basically indigo and after this they tend to go feminine and purple.
The 100w are not approved for road use but do add up to 100% more light than standard halogens, the 55w add upto 50% more light.

Has anyone tried 8k, 10k or 12k Blue bulbs and what brand where they/do you suggest?
Thx

I'm starting to narrow it down to these headlight bulbs:

1. PlasmaGlow Xenon Bulbs (4000 kelvin)
2. Philips 9005 + 9006 CrystalVision Ultra Headlight Bulbs (Low-Beam+High Beam) (Do I need Highbeam)? (4000k)
3. Philips Blue Vision Ultra HB4 9006 (4000k)
4. 9005 / HB3 OSRAM Nightbreaker Plus Halogen Bulbs (4200k)
5. OSRAM Cool Blue Intense (4200k)
6. Philips 9006 X-treme Power Headlight Bulbs (4000k)
7. PIAA 9005 Super Plasma Gt-X Twin Pack Halogen Bulbs (5000k)
8. Sylvania Silverstars (4000k)

Looking for the one with the most blue but most light in front of me as well without blinding people. Any suggestions?

You should check out one of our vendors here xenon depot if I'm correct they help us out big time and also check out ebay. They got good prices on hid kits I always get my stuff from downtown Los Angeles but if you want blue like real blue go with 10k bulbs

Not going with hid kits or 10k bulbs. I'm also 39 not 20.
Are Xenon halogens? Looking only for halogens now or whatever can fit it in with just a bulb. And if I have to change them yearly forget about it, must last at least 3 years.

I've used Silverstar Ultra's forever on my WK. Really great white light. I left the highbeam stock since i never use it. Actually, I use the Silverstar Ultra high beam bulb in my stock fog lights so it matches the headlights.

Sylvania 9006 SU SilverStar Ultra Halogen Headlight Bulb (Low Beam), (Pack of 2) : Amazon.com : Automotive

Sylvania 9005 SU SilverStar Ultra Halogen Headlight Bulb (High Beam), (Pack of 2) : Amazon.com : Automotive
Hey there, I heard good things about the Sylvania Silverstars. I wanted a small blue tint on the lights, do you think that is a bad idea.

And I, like you barely ever use the high beams. As for the fog lights, when do you use them exactly? Aren't we suppose to put in there 9145's? Thx

PS> I wanted a slight blue tint but not if it's going to produce less light. I wonder if there a light bulb with 6000-8000 kelvin and at the same time produces more light than stock bulbs?
