Good afternoon everyone!
Weird issue that just happened about an hour ago. I have a 2008 3.7 awd GC. 65300 miles, 90% highway miles. Still need to do the 60k fluid changes (i know, i know! See last paragraph)
I pulled out of my office complex and as soon as I hit 20mph, the traction control kicked on and wouldn't let me go any faster. No CEL or warnings, no weird sounds. Pulled over and put it in park and waited for a few seconds. Drove off again, and same thing happened. Pulled over again, shut it off for a few seconds. Started up and drove off and everything was fine. Drove all the way home (about 40 miles, 35 highway) with no issues.
The only thing I can think of that might have triggered this is this:
When I left work I drove to the other side of the parking lot to wait for my wife. Parked on a slight hill facing downward. Pulled the ebrake and put it in park, didn't shut it off. I do this every day. When leaving, I forgot to put it in drive (was a long day, don't judge!) after taking the ebrake off so the car moved forward a few inches until the parking gear caught. Oops.
Other then that, I've had no issues. Is this a sensor thing or something else?
I'm also due for an inspection this month, and I'll probably need new tires and brakes. I'll change the brakes myself as I've never paid for a BJ (brake job, pervs) on any vehicle I've owned. Can someone point me in the direction to a writeup on changing the tranny and diff fluids on the... i'm thinking Quadratrac 1? I've only changed the tranny and diff fluids on my Chrysler 300m, and that was easy.
Thanks in advance!
