This has been in discussion for some time now in the "main thread" as well as others. At the moment, it seems to be in flux. My guess is that is because of supply chain. Hopefully, many of these things will resolve over time. Meanwhile, if you need the off road package, the only"assured" way of that right now seems to be going with the Trailhawk trim level.

It also seems like you still get the eLSD on the Summit and Summit Reserve, but the 'comparison' tool online shows the eLSD as "not available" on the Overland for MY 23. In the past it showed as available, although I don't think they ever built more than one red Overland press car with the Off Road Group.
The eLSD seems to be an ongoing supply chain problem, which I'm shocked they haven't figured out this far along.
The weird thing now is that when I've gone on the build page, it has a $400 credit for eLSD delete on the Summit Reserve, but not on the Summit, which makes me wonder if you can even get it on anything but the Summit Reserve and Trailhawk.
I sent an email to the guy I'm working on my replacement with at Stellantis yesterday, hopefully I'll have some clarification but he takes a while to reply.
The supply chain is all messed up . We have a friend with a 2018 waiting for a water pump for a V6 Summit - the latest is it could be 3 months - our 2022 needed a new brake booster and the electronics - it took about 6 weeks to get our new 2022 fixed. Jeep appears to have lost some suppliers…. Thing is it’s everywhere - we were looking at Volvos till we found out how many were sitting at the dealer waiting for parts.
Speaking of Volvo (I have a 2019 S90 T8 Inscription) many reports of issues with older ones and the whole 3g/4g fiasco, as well as brand new ones with the Google system and updates, but most are all software related on both fronts.
And yeah, waiting for parts is bad across the whole industry.

Check again…the OFF ROAD GROUP is now listed in the online build & price option on Jeep’s website. Stellantis has also issued press releases in the last couple months touting its addition to the 2023 Overland L

Yeah…you won’t get a DEALER to concede the OFF ROAD GROUP has been added as a trim option to the Overland L. They will only look at their proprietary ordering screens where it is not listed. However, they get very, VERY shy and quiet when you pull up Jeep’s website and there it is as a build option. It gets even more entertaining when you start to show them all the car magazine articles and Stellantis’ own press release from 3 MONTHS AGO saying it’s available.

You are correct in that they don’t care. They don’t care enough to call their corporate distributor reps and have THEM explain why the parent company continues to advertise a vehicle that no one can order and have been doing so for months. I’ve contacted Stellantis myself and I’ll post their response if/when I receive one.

I just tried, and it's not listed on the 'build and price' configurator for the '23 4x4 V8 Overland in the USA. IME, if it's not on that, it's not orderable.
Latest from Jeep. Guess I’ll be looking elsewhere unless the release of the Hurricane is imminent.
I understand your interest in seeing the Offroad Group and the V8 HEMI Engine made available for the two-row Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland trim levels. Presently, the current market demands and consumer interest in this factory configuration do not support factory production of this nature.
While we cannot speculate regarding future product planning due to ongoing market changes and demands, your comments concerning the availability of the HEMI Engine & the Offroad Group on the Grand Cherokee Overland 2-row have been documented

Slight correction to your post. I was looking for the Overland L (3-row) with the aforementioned trim options, which WERE available in the 2021 and 2022 Overland L models, but not 2023

Thanks for confirming! Seems the off road group is only available in Canada at the moment. Disappointed for me, but happy for you
So they could rename the US model the Almost Overland.
If they manage to fix our 2022 and we keep it I would like to at least obtain the skid plates.
The entire Grand Cherokee WL release has been, in my opinion, a complete mess.
I pity anyone that starts having issues. Getting it fixed is an adventure. Too bad as it is a beautiful vehicle.

Thanks for your pity. They should call it the Overlift, since they spend most of their time on lifts.

I cannot imagine that would be an issue, at least based on historical. Mount points should exist on all trims. It would be uneconomical to manufacture different underpinnings.
