A lot of people just throw them in a storage closet (like me), so they cut them from standard equipment to improve profits, basically.

I’m in the camp of I took it out day one and it never went back in. However I doubt they discounted the cost of the new vehicles by $300 for removing it from the standard equipment list. Actually they probably added $500 to the cost… haha
