WL 3.6 Engine Cover?

Hi guys, just picked up the 2022 WL limited with 3.6. To my surprise it is missing the engine cover. Did yours come with it? Trying to see if it’s. Dealer issue or production issue. Dealer claims did not come from factory.
Thanks

Some do some don't but they are cheap to buy from the dealer apparently
Just checked ours 2022 Limited and it has no engine cover.

Anyone knows the part number?
I don't think the cover isn't an 'essential' part so either it's no longer being used or, perhaps, they couldn't get any and shipped without it. But it would be a good idea to pursue this with Jeep to know for sure.
It does reduce engine noise and also looks good😉

I'd forget the cover and save some money.
If you really want the cover might want to check out the local bone yard and get one cheaper than at a stealership if they even have one or can get one.

I would appreciate if someone can post the part number. Its probably engraved on the cover somewhere.
I do agree it lover the noise but it also keep some dust away.
If you go to the WL forum I believe they have postings on there with the part#

This thread is already in the WL forum... ;)
Would Jeep Cares chime in and help???
Shouldn’t have to pay for part that should been put on during assembly.
The Wrangler forum has a thread about the missing engine covers on the 3.6L. Apparently, they are no longer put on at the factory. I suspect it is the same for the 3.6L GC.

There is an engine cover listed on the parts fiche. If you have the location posts on the engine, surely you should have the cover!!

None on mine when I bought it. Salesman told me they weren't putting them on all models. Mine is a Laredo.
Check to see if you have the cover locating posts on your engines.
I spoke to the dealer and Jeep Cares. Both said it’s currently not available. It is also not listed as a part on mopar.com. Supply chain issues. Dealer said maybe they would issue a recall and install when available. The engine does has the posts for it.
There will never be a "recall" for something like this....but perhaps they will make them available later. I'm doubtful on that since it's a cosmetic item that isn't visible unless the hood is open. Most folks wouldn't even know the cover was "missing".

Yeah, I have a 2013 GC 3.6 actually with it engine cover then I have a 2012 JK Wrangler 3.6, without engine cover,
The GC 103,000 miles is quite no noice just a little tick tick normal “Chrysler noice”
The Jk 100,000 miles when I started you will notice noice from timing change or lifters more loud

Cover should have some insulation to keep heat off of hood,to protect the paint on hood!

Some 2022 WL models come with the engine cover and others do not. A lot depends on the trim level, even though all models have the mountings for an engine cover. I have seen many that do not have it and when ordering them based on VIN, Mopar will inform us that the vehicle was not manufactured with it. Other higher trim models like the Overland do have them from the factory.
