Funny because I never have audio directions on. It’s too interrupting and annoying when listening to the radio or having a conversation. It’s all about the visual to me (other than Waze announcing speed traps, traffic cameras, etc).

When I use the onboard or CarPlay nav, the other one stops routing. I’ve tried checking both in a situation with bad traffic and I was cutting it close. But as I checked one, the other stopped navigating. Going back to the other, I’d have to pick the destination and start again.

I can only get the onboard NAV in the cluster.

I’m on 15.6.1 and have zero issues with wireless carplay.

I tried it yesterday and I can get the turn directions in the cluster if I use Apple Maps on CarPlay, but Waze does not do it. So it seems CarPlay is capable, but either Waze does not have it in the code to do it, or apple is only enabling it for their app.

Can GC Limited display maps on the dash cluster? Or is it just turn notifications? Thank you

Depends on the model and options. It’s possible.

I do have the Uconnect 5 Nav with 10.1–Inch Touch Screen Display with GPS Navigation package but no luck on getting it to display on the cluster.

The option is first available on the Overland trim. And even on that trim, it's an option. Turn directions can be shown on the cluster, but not the map without the option.

(I have wondered if we ever get a working AlphaOBD type tool, if it can be enabled. It doesn't appear to me that the dash screen is any different, so it seems more like a feature that is enabled.)
