We can’t seem to figure out how to enable the paddle shifters. The manual says they can be enabled/disabled in Uconnect but I don’t see anything. Anyone know how to enable them??

In 2018 the Paddle Shifter option was located under the Safety & Driving Assistance heading in the main Uconnect menu,
Of course since you have a newer Uconnect version that doesn't mean they didn't move it somewhere else.

I will look again but didn’t see it under that category.

Just pressing a paddle shifter on my '18 enables it.
Pressing again for a little longer disables it reverting back to auto Drive mode.

Yeah, that’s what we were trying but it just kept saying “paddle shifting disabled”

The paddle shifter enable/disable in the Uconnect Settings is found on page 521 in my '18 Owners Manual.

| Rain Sensing Auto Wipers — If Equipped On Off
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Hill Start Assist — If Equipped On Off
--------------------------------------------------
| Tilt Mirrors in Reverse On Off
----------------------------------------
| Paddle Shifters Enable Disable
----------------------------------------------
| Steering Feel Options Sport Normal Comfort
--------------------------------------------------------------

Also from the manual:
-The system will ignore attempts to upshift at too low of
a vehicle speed.

-The system may revert to automatic shift mode if a fault
or overheat condition is detected.

Also if you had the transmission shifter in the Auto Stick manual position that might of automatically disabled the paddle shifters. Never tried that so don't know for sure.

The MY21 JGC-L may not have the same settings setup, as it were, compared to the "WK2".

If some '21-L's come equipped with paddle shifters i'm sure there's a paddle shifter enable/disable setting buried somewhere in that Owners Manual Uconnect settings.
If not then there will be some annoying Sunday type driver's out there who hit a paddle shifter accidentally.

Apps - settings - safety and driving assistance - scroll to paddle shifters. You will see the options to enable/disable.

Just verified on my '21 Summit. Paddle Shifters enable/disable is on the Safety & Driving Assistance menu, then page down.

2021 JGC-L (next gen WL-75) or 2021 JGC Summit ("WK2" version)??

Good catch, yes the WK2 version.
I only asked because this is the WL discussion area and it's a different vehicle than the "WK2".

Not sure if there is setting in the radio but on my 21 GCL simply pressing the left paddle engages manual mode and pulling and holding the right paddle puts it back in Auto mode.

Yeah, that’s what it says to engage it but there’s an additional enable/disable (or supposed to be) and ours was somehow disabled. But we somehow got it enabled. Still don’t know how… LOL
