I find that hard to believe, honestly...based on historic behavior. Not that there's any real physical differences between MY22 and MY23, but I cannot imagine that once they completed the switchover of what used to be called Jefferson North from "WK2" to WL that they would start cranking out MY22 rather than get started with MY23 given the time frame. But I could be wrong...
Back in the Sergio days, JNAP (now DACJ and the new DACM) drove to be flexible.. in 2013, they were building 2014 GCs alongside 2014 Durangos (which were really like 2013 GCs..)

Today, they are trying to crank out 2022 4xe while spinning up 2023 non-4xe.. from what I learned on my last visit there (2015), once the plant is tooled this is entirely a sequencing operation.. I'm only guessing, but I suspect 2023s with all the new/unique stuff have long ago run down the line and the kinks are worked out, and it is just a matter of supply before they start building 2023s. This means that order date is going to be less important than content in determining who gets their 2023 first.

But I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

what I learned on the 'last mile' with my '14 is that the trains get it to the destination rail yard but then the truck carriers optimize their trips.. so depending on the traffic to dealers around yours, your rig may sit in the destination rail yard for a while.

I talked my dealer into putting a "hot ticket" on my '14 GC to get it on a truck, probably a week faster than it otherwise would have moved from Selkirk NY to Greenfield MA, not exactly a high-traffic route.

Placed my GC L SR order on July 12, status went D1 on August 25th with an estimated ship of 9/6, the ship date has ratcheted out to 9/8 as of yesterday.. so we'll see..

as of yesterday afternoon my expected ship date was today, but it hasn't dropped out of D1.. 😰

yes. Twice.

I had done a preliminary order two weeks earlier and it came back with the delete, and the final one also did.

I pretty much don't care; this is (in the short term at least) gonna be a southern-states vehicle - the '14 WITH elsd (and lifetime warranty ;) )is gonna be the New England vehicle.
