Just thought I would share in case others are tracking the status of their build that the Jeep webpage is now showing that my GCLSR build has been scheduled for assembly. Unfortunately, no delivery date is provided but it's nice to see some movement after just being on order for over a month.

Nice! I'm curious, what date did you place your order? I ordered by '23 SR on 6/28, no movement yet....no VIN assigned and haven't moved to "Now Scheduled for Assembly" yet. Wondering how far ahead of me you were in the order queue. Hoping the rear entertainment package I ordered isn't holding up my build. Thanks!

I ordered my 2023 3 row Summit on July 14 and all I have is a VON. My Configuration Preview from Koons also does not have ELSD delete. When I had one done back in April on a 2022 2 row the Preview did have ELSD delete.

I didn't have the elsd delete on my 6/28 order confirmation for an SR either.

Tx - I placed my order on 6/28, too. While my VIN does not show up on the Jeep tracking page, my dealer sent me the "Priced Order Confirmation" (POC) sheet, about a week after my order, and the POC shows a VIN. So if you contact your dealer, I'm going to guess they can do the same and your vehicle most likely has a VIN.

Thanks for the info TJC, I'll give that a try to see if it shows the VIN. Unlike you, I haven't moved forward to scheduled for assembly yet...hopefully soon.

I just checked a screenshot the dealer sent me from their ordering system. It does have an identifier listed in the VIN column, although it's only a single letter (P) followed by 7 numbers....which is no where near long enough for an actual VIN. Maybe this is a shortened version for display in their system?? Does your printout show a full VIN #, which is 17 characters (combo of letters and numbers)?

Yes, my POC shows a full VIN number. I actually just got off the phone with my dealer, to again check on the eLSD and she said that it's still showing up in her system as an auto delete (i.e. she cant't change it to be not being deleted). I'm starting to wonder if Jeep is allowing the eLSD to be ordered based on your location allowing the eLSD to be ordered if you live in a certain state. Also, while talking with my dealer, I asked if she had an update on the status of my order and she said that her system is now showing an estimated ship date of 8/17/22. She said that this doesn't necessarily mean it will be shipped then but it at least sounds like the '23 MY are now in production.

Just spoke to my dealer, he gave me the full VIN so at least I have that now. Guess I'll just hang out patiently to move through the process. My pricing list did not include the eLSD, so maybe I'll get lucky on that...who knows. I'm also not a heavy off road user, so if that doesn't stick it won't be the end of the world to me. Glad to hear you have a ship date, hope that is accurate!

My dealer said even if the eLSD becomes available again, it will not be added by the factory since the build as received by factory is with the automatic eLSD delete.

My order did not list a credit for eLSD delete as others have mentioned. Not sure what to expect, but the delete was not listed on my order confirmation.

Did you make it into production this week? I'm still waiting to be scheduled, we ordered on the same day and our specs are almost identical...hopefully mine gets rolling soon!

No, it's still showing "scheduled" but nothing more; however, based on what Jim-in_PA has mentioned in this thread (or another thread), I don't really anticipate seeing anything more until it has been fabricated and is ready to ship. If the projected ship date is 8/17, I'm hoping that I'll see something on Monday or Tuesday. Is your Avatar the GCLSR that you have ordered? Also, curious what state are you in?

Yep, my avatar is a pic of the SR I ordered. I'm in the Dallas TX area, ordered from Frisco CDJR...which seems to be a fairly high-volume dealer. I did add the rear seat entertainment system, so hoping that isn't the holdup on my progress...

Wow!!! Order tracking website says estimated delivery 'SEP-23-2022' ; Dealer JUST CALLED (08/26/2022) and said he just unloaded blue Grand Cherokee for us, would you like to pick it up this afternoon or tomorrow???

Awesome DrBassman, congrats!! Curious, what was your order date? The order date on my SR was 6/28, so just trying to get a gauge on your timeline. Mine still pending scheduling....

Yeah, I wouldn't think the car would be shipped to a vendor with a hole in its roof just to get a sunroof. I did buy running boards, with my order, so possibly it's gone there for that purpose.

TxCat91 - funny you ask......I just found out, earlier today from the dealer, that my order has shipped. The Jeep tracker page only shows it as having been built. The tracker page used to show my estimated delivery as 10/9/22 but it has now changed to TBD. Not sure if the "TBD" now means I might get it sooner.

Very nice! Sounds like you're making good progress, I'm sure you'll have your new wheels in the next few weeks! My over/under date for you is Sept 25th. Keep us updated, looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks for the suggestion TJC, I'll ping them for an update tomorrow and see what they have to say....so far, they've had no different updates than the tracker. I ordered on 6/28 like you did, so was hoping I would be on a similar timeframe. Only thing I can think of delaying mine is the rear entertainment system. Thought it could be the side rails as well, but I saw that you ordered those and didn't have an issue. I ordered the GCL SR, all the options but stayed with the V6. I'm curious, anyone here who has been shipped or arrived already order the rear entertainment package?

I now recall you saying that you ordered yours on the same day that I ordered mine and thought it was odd that you could order the eLSD. I'm wondering if that is playing a role in your production date? I would be surprised if the rear entertainment is the issue as I would think that the rear entertainment system is likely to be installed by a separate contractor rather than on the production line (similar to the running boards).

EDIT: Just re-read Jake22's comment and it sounds like he has the eLSD so that would suggest that the eLSD is not the issue.

Definitely some interesting tidbits of info here, seems like others have been successful on each of the primary items in my order. Guess I'll just have to go with the flow on this one...I knew it could be awhile, but just wishing my schedule was more in line with yours. Not sure if there's any caveats to Jake's order since he's in Canada...seems that the few orders I've seen from Canadian members have moved very quickly.

I'm not Jake and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night but I did finally get my window sticker. Not sure if that means the vehicle has truly shipped or is about to ship but it's at least further progress on the Jeep Tracker webpage, which always seems to be behind.

TxCat - Any luck hearing from your dealer on the status of your vehicle?

Just updated to "scheduled" today, with date of Sept 6th....2 days ago, so making progress finally. Interested to see my build sheet to see if the eLSD stuck from my order or if they've deleted it.

If you have a VIN, you can see your build sheet even before it is assembled.

I have my VIN, plugged it into the link someone provided on the boards here just yesterday...nothing showed up in my search. You have a different/better way to view the build sheet?

This one doesn't find anything. I am using the correct VIN, double checked and the one the dealer gave me matches what's showing on the jeep tracker site. I understood from quite a few others that the build sheet won't show until just before or right after assembly is complete...seems that this is accurate.

Ordered GCL SR on 6/28, scheduled on 9/6 and still in that status.
