I ordered mine on July 12, and the POC had the ELSD Delete.
I ordered my 23 GCL SR on July 19th and the eLSD was NOT deleted. I would check with your dealer.
Thank you nwa; however, now I'm really confused as Koons told me that it is being deleted when they make an order.Very possible. I went thru Koons
I’m wondering if I got super lucky? What trim level are you looking to order? I ordered a SRThank you nwa; however, now I'm really confused as Koons told me that it is being deleted when they make an order.
So a follow up to my last comment. I just called Koons because now I’m worried. He said if he try’s to order one right now it’s showing the line item to delete the eLSD. But on my POC that he’s looking at for my order that line item is not on there. He said maybe I just got lucky or it’s a glitch in the system. That being said if the vehicle shows up with it being deleted then I will not be buying it.Thank you nwa; however, now I'm really confused as Koons told me that it is being deleted when they make an order.
Sounds good - hope you get it. I'm still trying to get it added to mine; however, in the end, if I can't get it, it won't really affect me as I don't live in a very wintery climate. I just want it since I'm buying a SR and it should have everything. So a follow up to my last comment. I just called Koons because now I’m worried. That’s exactly why I told them I will not buy the car if it doesn’t have it when the vehicle shows up. I’m buying 73k dollar vehicle I want all the things it’s suppose to come with not a lousy 400 dollar credit.Sounds good - hope you get it. I agree about the credit - it's a joke. Everyone knows that it would cost way more than $400 to install afterwards - if you could even install it afterwards (which I don't believe you can). You would think that they would be willing to put the parts on a vehicle if someone is willing to pony up the money for said vehicle. That’s exactly why I told them I will not buy the car if it doesn’t have it when the vehicle shows up. I agree! I just talked with Jeep Chat and they told me from what they can see I am getting the eLSD. Not sure if they look at the same thing the dealer looks at or not but he said it’s coming with it. So no idea how I got it.I agree about the credit - it's a joke. Yes. The "e" stands for ElectronicDoes the eLSD issue have to do with chip shortages?
Nice! I'm curious, what date did you place your order? I ordered by '23 SR on 6/28, no movement yet....no VIN assigned and haven't moved to "Now Scheduled for Assembly" yet. Wondering how far ahead of me you were in the order queue. Hoping the rear entertainment package I ordered isn't holding up my build. Thanks!Just thought I would share in case others are tracking the status of their build that the Jeep webpage is now showing that my GCLSR build has been scheduled for assembly. Unfortunately, no delivery date is provided but it's nice to see some movement after just being on order for over a month.
It sounds like there was a very short time that they were not deleting the ELSD. I ordered on July 19th and it’s not deleted. Reading other threads it sounds like it’s happened a few times. We’re it will have it and then it won’t again and then it will have it again.I ordered my 2023 3 row Summit on July 14 and all I have is a VON. My Configuration Preview from Koons also does not have ELSD delete. When I had one done back in April on a 2022 2 row the Preview did have ELSD delete.
Tx - I placed my order on 6/28, too. While my VIN does not show up on the Jeep tracking page, my dealer sent me the "Priced Order Confirmation" (POC) sheet, about a week after my order, and the POC shows a VIN. So if you contact your dealer, I'm going to guess they can do the same and your vehicle most likely has a VIN.Nice! I'm curious, what date did you place your order? I didn't have the elsd delete on my 6/28 order confirmation for an SR either.I ordered my 2023 3 row Summit on July 14 and all I have is a VON. My Configuration Preview from Koons also does not have ELSD delete. When I had one done back in April on a 2022 2 row the Preview did have ELSD delete.
It probably also heavily depends on supply chain issues WRT the specific model/options, and then it can get delayed after ‘basic production’ if it then has to be sidetracked for installation of certain things like running boards, mud flaps, PPF, etc which are often done at a secondary installation facility at the factory.
If your order is ‘simple’ it can be done right now in a day, but if it was placed behind a bunch of others who get the limited availability parts first, you could end up with supply chain deletes or stalled assembly due to secondary facility backlog for similar reasons.
it’s just a mess these days, on top of normal model year changeover.
Thanks for the info TJC, I'll give that a try to see if it shows the VIN. Unlike you, I haven't moved forward to scheduled for assembly yet...hopefully soon.Tx - I placed my order on 6/28, too. I just checked a screenshot the dealer sent me from their ordering system. It does have an identifier listed in the VIN column, although it's only a single letter (P) followed by 7 numbers....which is no where near long enough for an actual VIN. Maybe this is a shortened version for display in their system?? Does your printout show a full VIN #, which is 17 characters (combo of letters and numbers)?Tx - I placed my order on 6/28, too. Yes, my POC shows a full VIN number. I actually just got off the phone with my dealer, to again check on the eLSD and she said that it's still showing up in her system as an auto delete (i.e. she cant't change it to be not being deleted). I'm starting to wonder if Jeep is allowing the eLSD to be ordered based on your location allowing the eLSD to be ordered if you live in a certain state. Also, while talking with my dealer, I asked if she had an update on the status of my order and she said that her system is now showing an estimated ship date of 8/17/22. She said that this doesn't necessarily mean it will be shipped then but it at least sounds like the '23 MY are now in production.I just checked a screenshot the dealer sent me from their ordering system. That would be nice if they were in production. I just chatted with JEEP CHAT yesterday and they told me they are not in production yet and there is no ETA for them to start.Yes, my POC shows a full VIN number.
