WL Jeep GCLSR Order is Now Scheduled for Assembly

Just thought I would share in case others are tracking the status of their build that the Jeep webpage is now showing that my GCLSR build has been scheduled for assembly. Unfortunately, no delivery date is provided but it's nice to see some movement after just being on order for over a month.

Yes, my POC shows a full VIN number. I actually just got off the phone with my dealer, to again check on the eLSD and she said that it's still showing up in her system as an auto delete (i.e. she cant't change it to be not being deleted). I'm starting to wonder if Jeep is allowing the eLSD to be ordered based on your location allowing the eLSD to be ordered if you live in a certain state. Also, while talking with my dealer, I asked if she had an update on the status of my order and she said that her system is now showing an estimated ship date of 8/17/22. She said that this doesn't necessarily mean it will be shipped then but it at least sounds like the '23 MY are now in production.
Just spoke to my dealer, he gave me the full VIN so at least I have that now. Guess I'll just hang out patiently to move through the process. My pricing list did not include the eLSD, so maybe I'll get lucky on that...who knows. I'm also not a heavy off road user, so if that doesn't stick it won't be the end of the world to me. Glad to hear you have a ship date, hope that is accurate!
just chatted with JEEP CHAT yesterday and they told me they are not in production yet and there is no ETA for them to start.
I find that hard to believe, honestly...based on historic behavior. Not that there's any real physical differences between MY22 and MY23, but I cannot imagine that once they completed the switchover of what used to be called Jefferson North from "WK2" to WL that they would start cranking out MY22 rather than get started with MY23 given the time frame. But I could be wrong...

Ordered a 2023 JGC Summit 2 row on July 27 and the manager told me that production would start around mid August. We’ll see!

Back in the Sergio days, JNAP (now DACJ and the new DACM) drove to be flexible.. in 2013, they were building 2014 GCs alongside 2014 Durangos (which were really like 2013 GCs..)

Today, they are trying to crank out 2022 4xe while spinning up 2023 non-4xe.. from what I learned on my last visit there (2015), once the plant is tooled this is entirely a sequencing operation.. I'm only guessing, but I suspect 2023s with all the new/unique stuff have long ago run down the line and the kinks are worked out, and it is just a matter of supply before they start building 2023s. This means that order date is going to be less important than content in determining who gets their 2023 first.

But I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

And Tom, they are still building WD DUrango for the moment, AFAIK... I was told specifically by someone who works there that they can run "a bunch of different things" down the same line with no issue. As you mention, it's just a matter of sequencing and insuring that the software understands what's in each "slot" on the line so that parts flow properly/accurately so it moves along. They have the ability to run something like 1000 vehicles a day through that plant.
I ordered a ‘23 early June, still not updated online with VIN, although dealer provided. My ship date has moved 3x out. Initially on 7/21, then 7/29, 8/6, 8/15
Wow! All four dates are early shipping dates for a 2023. If that is accurate hopefully you will get it by the end of the month.

It will hopefully ship before the end of the month - receiving it in my possession will be a different story.
As of today 2023's are showing 'being built' and 'in transit' on jeep.com.
Ordered May 11th, tracking just updated today to say was in production yesterday, and estimated delivery date of Sept 16 (to Maryland). Funny thing is even with being in production, still says that the VIN is TBD, lol.

My dealer said even if the eLSD becomes available again, it will not be added by the factory since the build as received by factory is with the automatic eLSD delete.

My order did not list a credit for eLSD delete as others have mentioned. Not sure what to expect, but the delete was not listed on my order confirmation.

Did the tracker ever show you as "scheduled"? Or did it jump from "Order Confirmed" to "In Production"? Thanks!

It did, for something like the past month. Today it jumped from Scheduled to In Production. It seems to me that the tracker according to the progress bar updates the day after something happens. Obviously the estimated delivery date is a separate field and we will have to see how accurate that is as things progress further.

Yea, that makes sense. My guess is that it depends on how long it sits - if you went from D1 to production in a short period of time, probably not enough time to show both phases. Gives me hope for mine :)
I don't think I ever saw D1. Just "D". Then it jumped to In Production today.

"Scheduled" on the tracker is D1

Something that's important to understand that after a lot of "hurry up and wait", when your order hits actual production, your vehicle is built and out the door in a day along with many hundreds of others. The tracking system can be very hit or miss based on sheer timing of information flows. So in Matt_H's case, it's likely out the door and moving into the transportation dance, which depending on geography can be one or more train routes followed by trucking the last few miles to the dealer.

I started asking Michigan dealers about ordering our vehicles since I spend so much time up there (1/3 of my life at this point). Every MI dealer indicated a much shorter order period vs. Koons and those nearer to South Carolina where we currently live. Is anyone waiting on an order from Michigan? Do they even load MI vehicles onto a train or are they just trucked straight from the factory? It'd be interesting to compare MI to deliveries to VA (Koon's).

Take this for what it's worth, but I'm part of another forum (Ram) and there is a person that tracks all orders for the TRX.
This is the current Window Sticker to Dealer Lot (WS to Lot) averages by state. The 2 numbers are rolling 30/60 day averages.

Again, this is not Jeep but it is another Michigan Assembly plant.
You can see Michigan has the quickest delivery timeline
