Just thought I would share in case others are tracking the status of their build that the Jeep webpage is now showing that my GCLSR build has been scheduled for assembly. Unfortunately, no delivery date is provided but it's nice to see some movement after just being on order for over a month.

Well, today the Jeep Tracker shows that my vehicle is "In Production" or as Jim has suggested, has probably already been built. It also shows my estimated delivery date is October 8th. When I spoke to my dealer earlier in the week, she had indicated that the system was showing my ship date was today (8/23/22). Possibly that has still occurred and it will take a month to get here. Either way, I'm glad to see there is now some movement. The build sheet and window sticker are still not showing up (and I'm guessing they won't until it gets closer to delivery).

On 08/18, the tracker for my order went from 'Scheduled' to 'In Production'. On 08/20, the tracker went from 'In Production' to 'Built'. On 08/21, the tracker went from 'Built' to 'Shipped' -- The timeline shows 'Built' and 'Shipped' both occurred on 08/20. My estimated delivery date started at 09/05, went to 09/12, and currently is back to 09/05. I ordered on 07/08. This timeline, if it holds, is similar to the timeline I experienced fall 2019 when I ordered my 2020 Gladiator Sport S.

The window sticker appeared first, then a few hours later my build sheet appeared, all on 08/22.

That's crazy to me that you got those timely updates. I ordered on 5/11, went to scheduled in the first couple of days of July (don't remember which single digit day), then on August 10th updated that it was in production on August 9th.......and has sat there since. Also, while there is a VIN listed, the window sticker link for that VIN says that the sticker is not available. I tried the Jeep chat last night to see about an update, and all they do is look up that same website and read it to you. They said they no longer provide status codes are any information more than the tracker website.

I'm thinking it's just the tracking system lagging and killing the grass, as an old football coach of mine when I was young used to say all too frequently.

Your JGC was built in a single day along with as many as about 800-1000 others in the same factory if they were at full production. (I'm sure they are not due to supply chain) This has honestly been a typical problem with tracking for years now, especially since "insiders" lost visibility to real data.

I'd agree with that if the system lagged and finally updated to built with a previous date for when built. I'm unsure given the date posted (not just when it posted the date), and the fact that the delivery date has now moved to TBD. But let's see. If it's not here by September 20th, ballgame over since that is when my current lease has to either be turned in or bought.

Wow!!! Order tracking website says estimated delivery 'SEP-23-2022' ; Dealer JUST CALLED (08/26/2022) and said he just unloaded blue Grand Cherokee for us, would you like to pick it up this afternoon or tomorrow???

Looks like from your previous post that the tracker said "built" on 8/18? Makes me wonder (and gives me hope) if the date in the tracker is when they update it and not when it actually hit the milestone.

We "bought" one that was scheduled to be delivered to the dealer. Not special ordered for us, but kinda...
We were told it would be there in something like 2 weeks maybe?
We were at the dealer for another reason and we saw it in the back of the lot, and asked. A truck just unloaded some new Jeeps, and the dealership wasn't even aware it was there! So I was the first person after the delivery truck to drive it. I pulled it up so we could look at it more, totally filled with protective peel off stuff everywhere.

Awesome DrBassman, congrats!! Curious, what was your order date? The order date on my SR was 6/28, so just trying to get a gauge on your timeline. Mine still pending scheduling....

Congratulations! Does your GCL have a sunroof? I'm asking because my order is in production; however, in talking with my dealer, they are seeing it in "JB" status which she says sometimes they send the vehicle to a vendor to install the sunroof (which sounds weird to me).

hmmm. "JB" is shipped to body vendor. Not sure what step requires that. Mine does have the sunroof and did take 15 days from "in production" to "built". But I didn't follow my build other than the tracker, so not familiar with the sub steps (didn't feel like pestering the dealer).

Yeah, I wouldn't think the car would be shipped to a vendor with a hole in its roof just to get a sunroof. I did buy running boards, with my order, so possibly it's gone there for that purpose.

It was moved to another location for the installation of the running boards.

I'm pretty sure they do a rain test after it's built so having a hole in the roof would leave a big wet mess.

Yes. Ours has the sunroof.
