WL New 2022 Grand Cherokee L - Key Fob antenna / module issue

So after picking up my brand new Grand Cherokee L, drove home, parked the jeep, hit the lock button on the keyfob, everything was fine. Go back to the car, keyfob not working, checked other keyfob, also not working. Called dealer had to have them tow the vehicle back to the dealership...... Dealership in diagnostics with Chrysler (Mopar) whomever to figure out what is going on. The Grand Cherokee will not recognize the Keyfob. Apparently something wrong with the antenna or module in the vehicle. After the disconnected checked out some items, they reconnected and the keyfob was working fine. They tested it for a day, all working, kept it overnight..... this morning, same problem. Anyone know a solution to this brand new car nightmare? Bought Saturday, towed Sunday, still not able to drive it. The guy that answered the call for Jeep Wave said he had 4 more calls form owners of brand new Grand Cherokees with the exact same issue that day...... I'm assuming this is all technology software issues, but it could be a bad batch of hardware. Thoughts?

This sounds like an unusual issue and hopefully your dealer service department will be able to make things work correctly.
You should get a loaner until they figure it out!

I have exactly same issue. I leased it yesterday and worked well but today morning key fob doesn't work. Grand Cherokee doesn't recognize key at all. When I open the door using the key manually, theft alarm issues and car doesn't recognize the key even inside. Nothing works.
They really shouldn't be releasing these vehicles to the public yet...yikes

Roadside assist towed my L today morning and spend whole day there. Not yet fixed and just keep sending theft alarms via app and email. :(

Vehicles are getting so complicated these days. I'm guessing a software update was done that screwed everything up. Please keep us posted.
Our 3 day old L did this same thing today, towed to the local dealer. Any idea the build date on yours that are having this issue? Ours shipped to the dealer from the factory about a week and a half ago. Pretty disappointing to have a completely useless vehicle with this issue. And then watching everyone we talked to look at us like we were idiots, just use the key, and hold the fob here. No, it's D E A D dead.

At least you got 3 days trial period. I got only 15mins of trial period. I heard it was delivered to the dealer last week(between 2/7~11). I purchased it on 2/12 and died at the same day. S/W update doesn't fix the issue.

:(:(:( well this sucks, picked ours up yesterday afternoon, parked it for 2 hrs, now it's doing the same thing. Fobs wont work, use emergency key to get in and alarm goes off, cant shut it off. It got delivered to the dealership on the 9th, now i sit here waiting to call dealership and figure out how to get to work, just glad it didn't leave me stranded.

Anybody have theirs fixed yet? Dealer opened a case with Chrysler, but nothing on how to fix it yet.
If the key fob stops working can you still use the Jeep app to unlock the doors and then drive?
Not in this case. It’s just a paperweight at this time. Doesn’t respond to the app or anything. I keep getting theft alerts though whenever the dealership tries to do something. It’s just stuck where the tow truck left it because you can’t move it or anything.

My neighbor has a 22 JGC, that's not the L model it's not here so I can't look at it to tell you which one it is but on tuesday of this week he had the same problem. He said that the remote start wouldn't work on his wife's key Fob but on the one he has it did.
Mine does not recognize any keyfobs or mobile app even within the car. Even emergency tow release doesn't work, because L itself thinks I'm the THEFT with fake keyfobs. And If I pull the emergence tow release thing, instead of releasing, it makes emergency breaks more tightened.(JK, just not releasing), Reregistering keyfobs or updating S/W won't work, because L is thinking all keyfobs in this universe and Humans are evil THEFTs.
My L's life from Monday is below.
Monday: repeating theft alarms(via app), Tuesday: Theft alarms in the morning, Wednesday: theft alarms afternoon, Thursday: Theft alarm afternoon, all good(5days ago) updated to all good(30mins ago) then the L moved some within the dealer(WOW?). I tried to unlock doors via app last night, it worked, I tried it just minutes ago, FAILED! probably It distrusts humans and our universe again.
Looks like they did manage to move mine at the dealer based on the location. But still was getting theft alerts this afternoon. I have a feeling this is going to be a while. My biggest issue is I bought it from my long time dealer in Indiana, and it's dead in Florida. Pretty sure not a priority at the dealership down here.
Where you bought it should make no difference, especially when it was several states away. I suspect they're just clueless.

Exact same thing just happened to me, and now towing the car to the dealer 🤯 I’ll spare you the detailed of a 6 hours long saga with the roadside assistance company 🤬

Recent purchase like the rest? Seems like all the dead ones were manufactured and purchased around the same time. Has anyone got there's back yet and working? I'll be shocked if I get mine back this week.

Same thing is happening with my 8 day old Grand Cherokee L. Both key fobs are not working; alarm goes off when I use the key to unlock the door; unable start car. Waiting for it to get towed to the dealer. Has anyone heard anything about a recall or what Jeep is doing to address this financially? I want to get rid of this - who knows where when it’ll happen again.
