While I am sure the WL has many improvements over the WK2, looks are not one of them. While I know looks are subjective, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I must say that I do not care for its appearance at all.

I don't particularly like the rear quarter view of the 2 row WLs (or the non-L Wagoneers) but overall love them all, especially the interior. The WK2 do still look more rugged overall, mainly because of seeing them for over a decade on the road I guess. I thought the WKs looked more Jeep like to when the WK2 came out, I thought the "new" 2011- ones looked too "luxurious" for a Jeep.

That D-pillar mullet look (floating roof line) on the 2-row WL puts me off every time I see it. I like the design overall in the higher trims, but I like the chrome accents on my 16'WK2 and on the WL the chrome appears to accentuate the floating d-pillar...if they can some how remove that floating D pillar look I'll pull the trigger much sooner. Hope my 16' WK2 (106k miles) makes it to the WL refresh!

Like the original Compass, the new Jeep Avenger, they keep losing it at the rear window area. Same with the Wagoneers, but the Wagoneer L looks OK.

Going from my 2012 Overland to a 2021 Summit L, they "feel" totally different to me. BUT, I believe a LOT of that is because I also went to something that cost me $45,000 - $50,000 more in value. I think I instinctively drive it more "protectively"
My 2012 was bought as a 3rd vehicle "beater", then it got traded in along with a nicer car on the new Summit L. So the new one is both my "Jeep" and one of 2 "Nice Cars". (not that the 2012 wasn't nice, it was very nice).
