I don't see why it wouldn't but I also wouldn't buy the factory brake controller; I'd buy a Tekonsha P3 or the ReDarc. The first is an industry leader and the second is an excellent system that can be all but hidden.

cool thanks. My brothers had a Tekonsha P3 for years. great controller. Id prefer to have it hidden like that ReDarc. I think ill get one of those and put the dial next to the 12v in the center console.
I've used the Tekonsha for decades in other cars, and bought the RedArc for my last WL. Hands down the RedArc is the winner. I love the size, and the functionality. Push the button to to activate max braking, turn the dial to adjust force (ie after dropping a boat in the water). LED lights tell you if it's connected and operating properly. All the way around, it's the ideal solution.

The 82215834AC does not work on the WL74 according to Mopar. I went with the RedArc Tow Pro.

I can be leave it. Radio display, radio, top of center console has to come out. It was a lot of work. The Radio display feels like it will break right before it pops out.
I'm installing the Redarc but putting it in the panel under the steering column. I looked through the PDF instruction set that was posted, but can't make out how far I need to disassemble it to get at the harness plug. Can I just remove the one panel under the column, or will I need to remove that side panel as well? Thanks for any help.
I've been using the CURT Bluetooth controller and couldn't be happier. No wiring required and it can be used on more than one vehicle in the gargae.

I like the plug and play ease of the Curt but decided against it for 2 reasons.
1. If your phone is dead/inoperative/gone, you can't communicate with the unit and and are stuck with the current operating mode.
2. In a situation where you need to manually apply the trailer brakes I want a physical control to interact quickly with. I wouldn't want to launch or open a phone app first.

A trailer sway wreck can happen so fast there's no time to find a phone and then an app. You need to apply trailer brakes NOW.
