I went with granite, simply because I had a black Cherokee for 14 years and wanted a change. I love the color. That said, I think either look pretty sweet.
Agreed.
The black is great, particularly if you darth vader it with any modifications.

Having said that, the Granite just looks a bit more modern and refined to my eyes.
And mixed with the same black wheels, etc. as a black one, it seems again just a bit
more artistic.
Whether that will wear as well over a decade, unk.

All of my vehicles since 1996 have been black at one time I had three black vehicles. My problem with the 2014 is that it's not a true solid black. The pearl finish gives it sort of an iridescent green metal flake haze. You just don't get that depth you get in a true black vehicle. I have a 2006 GC Hemi and I parked it next to a 2014 black GC and the 2014 is just lacking that depth and has more of a fog or haze to it. I'm having a real problem with what color to get. Might settle for the Granite, White or Red; hell I don't know. I've always liked stealth and low profile and White or Red aren't stealth. LOL

But in the end it's you're money and you have to look at your vehicle everyday and live with your choice. Good luck; I'm still trying to decide.

Granite for sure! Check out my thread in my signature for pictures. I have lots of them in various lighting conditions (also, the pictures are dispersed throughout the pages, so make sure you look through the whole thread).

When I bought my Summit, I can't find a black exterior with black interior. I end up getting the Granite with black interior, so far I think I made a good choice. The granite looks great, but the black would look like more luxury.
On an Overland, I'd say it is a 50/50 choice between Black and Granite. On the Summit, I'd vote for Granite because of the lower body panels that are painted in Granite, too.

I love the black but I owned a black car once and swore I would never again. As beautiful as it is, it's too much work keeping it clean and spot free especially for us OCD people.

Granite is pretty sweet and changes with the light. Classy too.

I was looking at Jeeps the other day on the lot while "the other" was buying her 300S. I like black cars and got a good look at a Summit in black and I saw a lot of the green fleck he saw. I guess when I think of a pearl coat I envision a lot more of a silvery white fleck. That said, Granite is a nice color and would be my choice but the black did look sharp.

I didn't know Jeeps came in any other color than Red :)

But if those were the only 2 colors, I think I'd go for Granite.

It has most of the sleekness of black but stays cleaner looking almost like silver.

I think granite is the best color available for the '14 Grand Cherokee, period. Which is why I went with it :).

Seriously, it looks amazing.
