Automatic Door Locks — If Equipped

When enabled, the door locks will lock automatically when the vehicle’s speed exceeds 15 mph (24 km/h). The auto door lock feature can be enabled or disabled by your authorized dealer . Please see your authorized dealer for service.

Strange that it's not a user selectable feature. It is on my 14.

Talk to your dealer... maybe there's some programming magic they can do with it. Worst case, they tell you no.

 

I have gotten use to the locks activating as soon as I pressed the brake pedal on my 2001 F150 SVT Lightning (traded in on the JGC) and my wife's 2007 Murano.

Instead of taking it to a dealer, I'll just form the habit of doing it myself but thanks again.

A relay triggered by the brake, across the switch contacts. $5 and done... if you really want it.

Oops, I misspoke. My wife corrected me in that her Murano does not automatically lock its doors.

 

I could be wrong, but I thought there was an option to change this in settings somewhere???

I thought I did it on my early build '14 with some crazy bunch of button pushing on the key fob. I am sure I did it myself and did not bring it to the dealer.

We had the same exact lighting problem (passenger side), we had only 39 miles on the JGC. It was covered by Jeep warranty, no questions asked. [emoji4]

 

yah its been 15mph for a long time, my 2004 JGC had that same feature
