I was in the dealership last week and they had a Limited with pin striping, looked good. The questions are: one, if you are in favor of pin striping tell me why and what colors you would choose on an Overland in Blackberry Pearl. Two, if not why so........thanks:D:slapfight:

I'd have to say no to the pinstriping, My 09 WK came with it and I ended up removing it. Love the look without it so much better... But to each his own, everyone's tastes vary.

Saw these two pics of a Blackberry Laredo online back in August. Just a 3/4 side stripe with nothing on the hood or liftgate. Not terrible; each to his own.

Last week I saw an inferno red at a dealership with a thin black pinstripe (or two?). Although neither red or pinstriping are my style, the contrast made me re-consider that vehicle for a couple of moments!

Then a week later, saw an inferno red without pinstriping, and I had absolutely no further interest. So the pinstriping may enhance certain aspects for some people's tastes.

Someone posted a pic of deep cherry red overland with a pinstripe on the jeep facebook page. It looked like a beige or tan pinstripe....it actually looked good. :)

My last car....a white ford fusion came with a black pinstripe when we bought it and I liked it.

Anyone else have any good pics of a Jeep with a pinstripe?

I know most people on here dislike them, put out of curiosity what color pinstripe would you get on a white Jeep? I'm guessing black

I say no. I have pinstripes on my 06 Limited and hate it, but us guys that like the black look would not like a pinstripe on it - SPEAKING OF (and not to hijack) but does anyone have a good method to remove the factory pinstripe? My is already coming off which makes it look worse than if it were on  Thanks!

As for the original question, I'm not a fan. Maybe that's because some of the local car dealers rip people off for these things. It's not unusual to see a few bucks worth on pinstriping applied to a new car, with an accompanying markup of several hundred dollars :)eek:) for the "appearance package."
